GTA 6 Release Date, Platforms and Pre-Order Facts

GTA 6 is close enough that store pages, pre-order bundles and trailer clips are being shared faster than they can be checked. This guide sticks to facts published by Rockstar Games and clearly marks everything else as unconfirmed. Verification date: 19 October 2026.

1. Release date and platforms

Rockstar's GTA VI page states “Coming November 19, 2026.” The same page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and says the game plays best on PlayStation 5. Those are the only launch platforms Rockstar currently presents. A PC version, a later port date or a cloud-only release should not be treated as confirmed.

2. What the pre-order offer actually says

Rockstar's site shows a pre-order bonus called the Vintage Vice City Pack. The page also presents an Ultimate Edition as an exclusive collection of items connected to Jason and Lucia's story. Treat the pack as a bonus, not as proof that every item has already been fully detailed. Read the storefront description for your country before paying.

3. Standard, Ultimate and store-exclusive offers

Different storefronts may present editions, currency, tax and cancellation rules differently. Compare the edition name, platform, region and included digital items on the checkout screen. A low price from a key reseller is not the same product as a direct platform purchase, and account or code problems may not be covered by the platform store.

4. What is still not confirmed

• A PC launch date or PC system requirements.
• The exact download size and preload schedule.
• Full mission structure, map size, vehicle lists or endgame content.
• Cross-save, cross-play or online-mode details beyond what Rockstar has formally published.

5. A safe pre-order checklist

1. Confirm the console generation and account region before opening the store.
2. Check whether the edition is for PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, not a different platform.
3. Read the cancellation and refund rules shown at checkout.
4. Keep the receipt and do not share the redemption code or account password.

6. What to watch before launch

Follow Rockstar's official GTA VI pages and the storefront where you plan to buy. Watch for preload timing, download size, supported languages, accessibility options and any region-specific rule. Avoid reposting screenshots of checkout pages that expose an account name, email address or order number.

7. Official sources and verification

Checked on 19 October 2026: rockstargames.com/VI, rockstargames.com/VI/launch-trailer, rockstargames.com/VI/an-extended-look and rockstargames.com/VI/music. If a store page conflicts with this article, the official page and the checkout terms for your region take priority.
